This free summer program supports students who completed VPK and are preparing to begin kindergarten. STEP into K helps students build skills, confidence, and a strong foundation before the school year begins.

📊 iReady Testing Begins This Week
Families can support students by:
Ensuring your child gets a good night’s rest
Making sure your child arrives to school on time
Talking with your child about their academic goals and encouraging them to do their very best.
🔬 STEAM Week
This week, our Special Area team will be launching STEAM Week! All K–4 classes will rotate through STEAM activities on a daily basis next week. The week will culminate with a Field Day on Friday for Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade students. During art and music classes this week, we are excited to welcome community partners from Coastal Connections and the Audubon Society, who will be presenting integrated science lessons to our students.
📚 Book Fair
Our Book Fair is also happening this week!
Your child’s Library/Media rotation will serve as their class’s Book Fair time.
Students should have already received a flyer with their assigned day highlighted.
Extended Book Fair Hours:
Monday: 8:00–4:30
Tuesday: 8:00–3:00
Wednesday: 8:00–4:30
Thursday: 8:00–5:30

Wednesday: Our Pre-K students will be participating in the Special Olympics
Friday: Second grade families are invited to join us for a Showcase of Student Learning from 1:00–2:00 PM, highlighting student work from our recent unit on insects
