Vero Beach Elementary School received the designation of “Healthier US Challenge School.” Schools are given this distinction for their excellence in nutrition and physical activity. Cafeteria Manager Vickie Zita was awarded Silver status and a check for $1000 on behalf of VBE at a School Board meeting.
